How USAspending Playbooks handles your data, in plain language.
When you create an account, we store your email address and any progress, watchlist, and alert preferences you save. We do not collect government IDs, payment data beyond what our billing provider requires, or sensitive personal information.
Your data is used solely to provide the app's features — tracking your playbook progress, surfacing personalized recommendations, and sending alerts you've explicitly requested. We never sell your data to third parties.
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request full deletion at any time by contacting support; we will remove your records within 30 days.
We rely on a billing provider for paid plans and an email provider to deliver alerts you opt into. Each operates under its own privacy policy. Underlying spending data is public and sourced from USAspending.gov.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (such as the onboarding checklist state). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
